What is a RAR5 file?

RAR5 is the 2013 successor to the original RAR format, with stronger AES-256 encryption (replacing AES-128), Unicode support throughout, BLAKE2 file checksums, and a more robust container. RAR5 files have the magic bytes 52 61 72 21 1A 07 01 00 and are not backward-compatible with RAR3 extractors.

How to create a RAR5 file
